Some of the best ideas start with a simple conversation, and that’s exactly how Garden Wax Melts was born.

It all started at daycare, where our daughters became best friends. As our families spent more time together, we quickly became friends too—bonding over parenting, home life, and eventually, a shared love for amazing scents.

Jose has always loved a great-smelling home, but with kids and pets running around, candles weren’t an option. Instead, he started making his own wax melts—natural, flame-free, and just as fragrant as candles, without the worry.

One day, he and his family were at Jim’s house for his daughter’s birthday party. As soon as Jose walked in, he couldn’t help but notice how incredible the place smelled.

“Man, your house smells amazing!” he said.

Jim chuckled. “Yeah, my wife lit a bunch of candles—but they give me a headache.”

That’s when Jose had an idea. “You ever try wax melts? I make my own. Same great scents, no flames, no headaches.”

Intrigued, Jim gave them a try—and he was instantly hooked.

That simple exchange sparked something bigger.
